The association is composed of members belonging to the Indian-American heritage from insurance companies, reinsurance companies, agencies, brokerages and insurance service providers.

The mission of the IAIPA is to promote the interests and professional development of its members through networking opportunities, professional education opportunities, mentorship/financial support for the education of the new generation and to provide necessary education for the people of Indian origin on the needs of insurance as a form of risk management in all aspects of life.

Core Objectives

In pursuit of its mission, the IAIPA has the following objectives:

  • Through professional exchange and mutual support, the Association hopes to further its membership’s professional standing by gaining the recognition of the industry as a body with strong work ethics, strong foundational domain knowledge base and expertise with aspirations to make a strong presence in the industry.
  • The association’s networking events create a forum for members to exchange market perspectives and to promote mutual understanding among companies, service providers, agencies and brokerages.
  • For its members, the association through its members and industry partners intends to provide information, resources and professional education and mentorship events to enable them to succeed and excel in their own careers with contextual relevance to folks from Indian origin.
  • IAIPA intends to provide create and provide educational materials focused on the needs and environment faced by the community of Indian origin folks. The association will provide to the Indian American consumer and business market with material in both English and Indian origin regional languages to familiarize the general public in utilizing Insurance as a form of risk management to protect their families and businesses, and to assist them in understanding the complexities of insurance coverages.
  • To undertake such other programs and activities as may be necessary or proper to carry out the mission of the IAIPA.
